Christmas Roundup

With Christmas upon us, many people are starting to feel the pressure of gift buying.

Today I'm bringing some wonderful, easy knitting projects that will make awesome Christmas gifts. Not only are they homemade, but they are also great stash busters!

Without further ado...

Baby Gifts

How adorable would these baby booties be in a light pink!? These are the perfect easy gift for a new baby. The free pattern can be found from here.

The Velvet Acron sells tons of gorgeous PDF knit and crochet patterns. This one, called the Failynn Fox Cowl, is one of my favorites!

This hooded baby poncho can be found for free on ravelry! It's a simple pattern that would look adorable on any little baby.

Ok, can we just take a minute to appreciate how adorable this is!? Available for $3.00 from here, the Very Berry Hat is sure to make any baby berry cute!
Ok...sorry about that pun. Moving on...

Hats and Cowls

The Magnolia hat pattern is available for $4.00 on ravelry, and is sure to make a great gift! The pattern comes in three different sizes, so you can adjust to whoever you're making it for.

The Simple Sample Hat is a super cute, textured hat to keep you warm on a cold winter night. It's available form here for $3 (euros).

How gorgeous is the headband? I think I may just make one for myself! It's a crochet pattern, but it looks pretty simple to convert to knitting. The original pattern can be found here.

The Amortentia Cowl from Knitted Bliss is a beautiful cowl. It is lightweight enough to wear during the spring, but pretty enough to wear year round!

Neon accessories are definitely in this year. Be on trend with this Neon Stripes infinity scarf by Purl Avenue.

The Sugar Plum Hat pattern from raillery user Voolenvine is a great stash buster. Colorful and fun, this hat would be a great gift for anyone.

Bonus!

This Cashmere Cup Cozy by Setting for Four is totally luxorious and embellished. How cute with this be with a vintage brooch?

Casting On -- Christmas

Christmas season is upon us! I don't know about any of you, but I am extremely excited for Christmas this year. This is the first year that Trevor and I have been living together over Christmas, and the first year I'll have my very own home to decorate! Be on the lookout for a home tour soon enough!

For Christmas this year, I really wanted to knit something Harry Potter related for Trevor. We both love Harry Potter, and it's actually how we met (but trust me, it's a lame story!)

Introducing, The Ron Weasley Blanket

This blanket is going to be huge. I cast on 35 stitches for each square, making each tile 7.5"x7.5". So far I only have 6 squares finished. I need to step up my game if I'm going to get it finished by Christmas! Pictures to follow!
